About the maker
My name is Daria, and for about ten years I have been creating botanical sculpture — cold-porcelain flowers in which living beauty is preserved forever.
It all began by chance: I saw such flowers at a friend's home and fell in love at first sight. I took courses, completed several botanical-floristry programmes — and realised this was my calling. I trained as an engineer, but fate decided otherwise: what began as a hobby gradually became my life's work.
I was born and raised in Kyiv, and later life led me to Italy — a country of incredible floral abundance that inspires new pieces every single day.
I make every piece by hand, without templates, so no two are ever alike. For me it is not just a craft but a way to hold a moment still — so that a flower which once delighted you stays with you for years.
